Mom-Of-Two Bodybuilder Passed Away Suddenly At 31

Gym owner and professional bodybuilder Stacey Cummings passed away at 31, shocking the bodybuilding world with the news. The cause of death is still unknown, but the mom-of-two was still posting on her Instagram on the day she was announced dead.

The Florida woman has been hailed as a prominent figure in the world of bodybuilding for women and is beloved to many who knew her.

Cummings began her bodybuilding journey in 2013. She finally got her certification as an International Federation of Bodybuilding and Fitness professional in 2016. She took part in the 2021 IFBB Texas Pro division for the bikini category.

Cummings is married to Bryant Fought, a fellow professional with whom she shares two children together.

She's also a co-owner of Flex Fitness 24/7 gym that is located in McKinney, Texas with her husband. For the past few days, Cummings hadn't shared any health complaints and no cause of death has been reported.

News of her death was announced by the Texas branch of The National Physique Committee. The statement reads, "It is with heavy hearts that we announce the unfortunate and untimely passing of IFBB Pro Stacey Cummings."

One of her friends, Kelly Lynn, also posted a tribute and pictures of her at the shows, mourning her death. She wrote, "Unbelievable to hear of Stacey Cummings passing."

"What a beautiful woman. I can't believe it. We did 3 shows together in 2020, and I was at Nationals when she turned pro. How crazy. Just 31 years old."

"She also has 2 kids. Heartbreaking. It is so incredibly sad to see so many people pass away as of late. I don't know her full story as to what happened, I just know she overcame many demons in her past. This one hit home."

News of her premature death has added yet another count to young, achieving bodybuilders who lost their life.

The champion of the 2017 Arnold Classic, Cedric McMillan, had just passed away last week from a heart attack. He was only 44.

The man was running on his treadmill when he suddenly experienced the attack. And two months ago, Tom Prince, a retired bodybuilder, was pronounced dead after losing his fight to cancer.
