Johnny Depp continues to tell the court about how his marriage to Amber Heard fell severely apart. Appearing at a recent hearing at the Virginia court, the actor revealed Heard had a routine of getting him a glass of wine and removing his footwear each time he got home. But one day, as she was on the phone, he took his own boots off rather than wait.

According to Depp, that one act made Heard approach him with a look on her face and repeatedly uttered, “What did you just do? What did you do?”
The 58-Year-Old claimed he then asked Heard what she meant, to which he said she replied with: “You took your boots off.” And he stated, telling Heard: “Yes, I did. You were busy.” Depp then shared what Heard said: “No, no, no, that’s my job. You don’t do that; I do that. Let me get you a glass of wine.” The actor attested he took a pause, especially as she was visibly shaken or upset he had broken her routine rules.

Depp added: “Once you notice something like that, you start to notice other tidbits that come out. Then within a year, a year and a half, she had become another person, almost.” The Pirates of the Caribbean then emphasized that he had never experienced anything like that in his life and never experienced that even though it became a regular thing, kind of routine.”
He also spoke of his relationship with Heard at the beginning, who he met on the 2011 movie The Rum Diary set.
Depp said, “It was too good to be true,” and that 35-Year-Old Heard “was attentive, loving, smart, funny, and understanding.” He continued they had many things in common, blues music and literature. “From the beginning of our relationship for a good year and a half, she was wonderful and then things just started to change, or things started to reveal themselves, is a better way to put it.”

He shared with the courtroom that he called her Slim, and she called him Steve after the Lauren Bacall and Humphrey Bogart characters in the film “To Have and Have Not.”
The actor further shared that by 15, he had done all the drugs he was aware of but didn’t continue at such a rate. He said there were many years he didn’t even have a drink and that he wasn’t dropping acid every 5minutes, to which he admitted his ex-wife’s claims about his drug abuse were exaggerated.

“The characterization of my ‘substance abuse’ that’s been delivered by Miss Heard is grossly embellished, and I’m sorry to say, but a lot of it is just plainly false,” Depp insisted.

However, Depp admitted he got hooked on the painkiller Roxycontin after getting sciatica from throwing a chair through a window in Pirates of the Caribbean 4.
