Justin Bieber has expressed his fears of struggling to eat after suffering facial paralysis from Ramsay Hunt Syndrome. The pop star, 28, cannot blink, and the right side of his face isn’t moving. Mayo Clinic reported that hearing loss and facial paralysis are temporary but can become permanent.
This news comes as the artist had announced he was postponing the next few shows of his seven-leg, 130-date Justice World Tour due to a non-COVID-related illness.
Of his health condition, Bieber took to his Instagram to share a three-minute video explaining the diagnosis. He began: “Hey everyone Justin here, I wanted to update you guys on what’s been going on. Obviously you can probably see with my face. I have this syndrome called Ramsay Hunt and it is from virus that attacks the nerves in my ears and my facial nerves and has caused my face to have paralysis.”

He showed the devastating effect of his diagnosis by showing how his eye wasn’t blinking, he couldn’t smile, and his nostrils would not move on the right side of his face.

Bieber concluded by saying he’s doing all he can, including resting, to address the issue but was honest as he said he doesn’t know how long it will take him to recover.
“I love you guys. Thank you for being patient for me and I am going to get better. I'm doing all of these facial exercises to get my face back to normal and it will go back to normal. 'It's just time, we don't know how much time it will be, but it's going to be okay. I hope and I trust God and I trust that this is all for a reason. I'm not sure what that is right now but in the meantime I'm going to rest and I love you guys. Peace.”

In a sad update via his Instagram story, the singer also said: “Been getting progressively harder to eat which has been extremely frustrating, please pray from me.”

Hailey was admitted for a small blood clot in her brain, which gave her stroke-like symptoms. It was reported that Justin wouldn’t leave his wife’s side amid her ordeal.
