20 Actors Who Drastically Changed Their Look For Movie Roles

Many actors tend to go to the length for their roles. Like Demi Moore, transforming into Lieutenant Jordan O’Neil, the first female NAVY Seal for the movie G.I Jane to Chris Hemsworth as Thor and his superbly intense dedication. A few actors go to the grander extremes, including gaining and losing quantities of weight or perhaps disguising themselves using layers of makeup and prosthetics. The craziest transformation is of Christian Bale and Joaquin Phoenix, Charlize Theron, among others.

Christian has no doubt gone to an extreme length. His Machinist (2004) role was quite a height as it saw Christian play the role of Trevor Reznik, a machinist with severe insomnia. Lacks of sleep resulted in extreme weight loss, so Christian became extremely thin and downright quite creepy. But then Charlize has done it more than once, and yes, Ryan Reynolds seemed to have fooled us countless times. Here we’ve compiled the most impressive actor transformations in movies and TV for your perusal. You will be left in awe but never attempt to try any of these perilous diets at home!
