Authorities have launched a man hunt for a guy captured by CCTV cameras licking the doorbell of a home in California. The man identified as Roberto Arroyo aged 33, was seen around the home of Sylvia and Dave Dungan where he spent 3 hours on the front door.

At the time of the incident, the couple was out of town but their children were asleep indoors. Multiple alerts from their home security system alerted them and noticed something was not right. This prompted them to check the CCTV footage which showed the man licking the doorbell. Police allege that he also relieved himself in their front yard.

A perplexed Dungan said:‘You kind of laugh about it afterward because technically he didn’t do anything. This just kind of reinforces how important it is to have security within your home.’

The man is said to have gone to the neighbor’s house as well. Following the incident, the family spent the better part of the next day wiping and sanitizing their doorbells.

Police are still on the lookout for Aroyo who is to face charges of petty theft and prowling. Giving an official statement, “We were pleasantly surprised the image was so clear, to the point that it didn’t take us long to identify this individual.”
