When you look back at your favorite characters from Disney or Marvel or DC or even cartoon you will realize that you are looking at the sea of so many colors. From, red, blue, yellow, greens, black to even whites. But have you thought what does it mean for characterization of these characters and superheroes? Color theory has long-standing beliefs as to what each color means.
Recently, an illustrator, character designer, and Art director at Marcel WW, Linda Bouderbala classified some of the most popular fictional characters by color. He wanted to see how different tones and shades interact in a group of characters of supposedly the same color. Because unlike humans, these fictional characters are quite different from each other. Right from forms to colors, they all are different even when they seem the same.
Linda says "I've been drawing since I know how to hold a pen. I’m fond of geek and pop culture and the most enjoyable thing for me is revisiting the heroes of my childhood."
