14 Olympic Couples That Are Competing At Tokyo Games Together

It’s often said that couples who play together stay together. To prove this saying, there seem to be a few couples who are competing together at the Tokyo 2020 Olympic games. These couples have since the game started been giving the audience the #Relationshipgoals, and of a truth, they are pretty irresistible. Similarly, a record number of three same-sex couples are competing together on the same team, and there may be even more.

Engaged couple Sue Bird and Megan Rapinoe both qualified for the Tokyo Olympics. The married cyclist Jason and Laura Kenny has since won a combined 10 Olympic gold medals together and are widely expected to win more awards at this year’s delayed Tokyo 2020 Games. The term power couple doesn’t adequately describe these duos, and we bet you will agree. Without any further ado, we’ve collated 14 inspiring Olympic couples (dating, engaged, or married) who are downright winning as one. Enjoy!

Edward Gal and Hans Peter Minderhoud (The Netherlands Men’s Equestrian). This will be the second time these two gay partners will compete together for the Netherlands. In Rio, they were on the same team and finished fourth. Together, they’ve won a team dressage bronze model at the 2014 World Championships.
