Grammy-nominee Demi Lovato calls out to people making comments on people's bodies, specifically, on those who lost weight. The 'Dancing With the Devil' singer, who recently come out as non-binary and changed their pronoun to 'they/them,' had taken to Instagram to share the reminder.
Demi told their 105 million followers that it could be "as harmful as complimenting someone on their weight gain."

"Does it feel great? Yeah, sometimes. But only to the loud a** eating disorder voice inside my head that says, "See, people like a thinner you" or "If you eat less you'll lose even more weight."

She explained that it made her wonder what people had been thinking about her body before that? Hence, she imparted an important message to others.
"Moral of the story: I am more than the shell for my soul that is my body, and every day I fight to remind myself of that, so I'm asking you to please not remind me that that is all people see of me sometimes."

This came out over a month after her war with LA frozen yogurt shop The Bigg Chill over getting 'triggered' by diet food.
She later took to Instagram and posted an explanation (which has since been deleted), saying, "My intentions were not to come in and bully a small business, that was not it. I walked in and got so triggered I left without fro-yo, and it made me really sad. That's all it was, and I wanted to talk about that."
Evidently, Demi had posted a couple of screenshots of arguing with The Bigg Chill on their Instagram DM.

Among many things she wasn't satisfied with was how she had to 'walk past tons of sugar-free cookies/other diet foods' before getting to the counter. Demi also told them, "You can find a way to provide an inviting environment for all people with different needs."
In response to Demi's story, the yogurt joint replied, "We cater to all of our customers' needs for the past 36 years. We are sorry you found this offensive."
Demi Lovato will also be speaking with Glenn Close and moderator Anderson Cooper on mental health problems this Sunday.
