What does the afterlife look like? Many of us have continually wonder what transpires after death. We (humans) lived before we came to earth, and we will continue to live even after we’ve passed away. Knowing this can undeniably comfort us about death. While we grieve for the loved ones we’ve lost, there, however, appears to be hope as death isn’t an end but a whole new beginning.
The end is a new beginning is perfectly captured in the webcomic titled: Death and the Maiden. The darkish comics are created by an Oslo-based artist named Jorgen Van Santen, and they specifically feature characters including death itself and a dead girl who was hit by a bus while on the phone. Each of the somewhat hilarious strips touches on the morbid adventures the two characters find themselves in, and of course, they’re downright captivating.
The concept for the comic originated in 2016 when artist Jorgen entered a national comic content. The contest gave a purpose and remarkably made the top 5. Since then, the artist has created more episodes for fun, and as seen, it has garnered a growing 17.1K followers on Instagram. Here, we’ve compiled Jorgen’s latest for some quick think amid giving you a dose of laughter. Please have a look, enjoy them!
