Will McPhail, an award-winning cartoonist, and comic creator, have remained a significant contributor to the webcomic universe. Artist McPhail's comics are everything from day-to-day moments, including current events. McPhail had started with the doodling of lecturers when he was supposed to be learning. And despite graduating, he never sought a career in the animal kingdom, having read zoologist in Glasgow. McPhail is outstanding, and indeed his humorous comics are uniquely simple. 

His characters, including animals, have been communicating more complicated opinions and even personal feelings that are downright relatable or perhaps associated with today's society. Mostly illustrated in white with shades of black, McPhail comics are careful observations that capture the ridiculousness and hilarious quirks of everyday life. A few touches on gender/race dynamics and are perhaps a step in tackling the gap.
