A backpacker has come across an unusual sight of 3 dangerous snakes wrapped around a Christmas décor on a busy street. The disturbing image shared to a Facebook Group has a caption that reads: ‘Just in Australia… Snakes hanging on a Christmas tree in Melbourne.
The photos displayed three deadly Australian snakes wrapped on a signpost decorated in green and gold tinsel to resemble a Christmas tree. The backpacker, identified as Maxime Zimmermann, who snapped the pictures told Dailymail that the snakes were pets and had been placed on the pole by their owner.
‘The snakes belong to this one guy I met in the
street in Melbourne.’ Maxime revealed, adding that the owner Raymond Moser, also
known as Snake Man.

of the Group – The Australian Backpackers 2019 were, however, also quick to
identify the reptiles as a red-bellied black snake – a tiger snake and an
eastern brown snake.

member said: ‘How they got three most venomous snakes on the same pole, I will
never know.’
‘Why
are those 3 snakes all together? Let alone together up a lamp post in the city.
I am an Australian, but this is the weirdest thing ever seen.’ another

While
another user had believed they were plastic, Maxime responded assuring the commenters
that the photo was indeed legit.
‘It’s
not fake, they are very real.’ he admitted.’
