Workaholic Father's Touching Letter After Finding Out His 8-Year-Old Son Passed Away During A Conference Meeting

J.R Storment's family was a happy one with two units of two - he and wife, and his twin boys, Wiley and Olive. He was the co-founder of Cloudability and is a self-claimed 'workaholic' who has taken very few days off. That said, his family was a stable one with everyone setting rules to keep in touch.

But in one night, the family changed and Storment never imagined it. His son, Wiley, passed away shortly after he slept from SUDEP, Sudden Unexplained Death of Epilepsy. Wiley was said to have the 'best' of benign epilepsy that will go by itself as he gets to the teenager. But the 8-year-old, otherwise healthy and active boy who even has his own girlfriend, lost all the opportunities to ever grow up, get married and have his own family.

So, Storment brought his grief to LinkedIn, writing about how life has been for him, the regrets he had, but also the silver lining in it. He reminds us all that people won't be around forever, that we should never waste too much time working and to remember that spending time with the ones we love will never be enough.
