An Australian woman has relived her 'fairy tale' wedding to her 'handsome, strong and sturdy husband' - who happens to be a bridge in France

Jodi Rose, originally from Sydney, married Le Pont du Diable - translated to 'The Devil's Bridge' - on the Tech River in Ceret, southern France in 2013

Ms. Rose said that marrying the bridge ‘felt beautiful’ and was even uneasy on the eve of her wedding day just like any bride.
‘I was really quite nervous… I felt like a bride. I got to have my princess wedding day,’ she said.
She proudly wears her shiny wedding ring while the bridge had a larger version, custom made ring wedged on its walls.
‘I put a ring on it, baby… I mean you’ve seen him, he’s very handsome, he’s strong and sturdy and I thought, yes, this is someone I can really connect with, and who I feel can give me some grounding,’ Ms. Rose said.
Ms. Rose also wrote on her blog, that she was traveling around the world on a music project involving bridges when she decided that Le ont du Diable was ‘The one’.
He makes me feel connected to the earth and draws me to rest from my endless nomadic wanderings. He is fixed, stable, rooted to the ground, while I am nomadic, transient, ever on the road,’ she wrote. She still proudly wears her wedding ring, and a custom, larger version made for the bridge sits on the structure

'He understands that I love other bridges – and men – ours is a love that embraces the vagaries of life, as materialized in the swirling currents of the river that flows beneath his magnificent body.
'The Devil’s Bridge is everything I could desire in a husband – sturdy, trustworthy, sensual, kind and handsome.'
While the host country France doesn’t recognize their marriage, Ms. Rose claimed their union was as strong as any other. She fell in love with the 14th century stone structure while travelling the country, and they became husband and wife during a ceremony attended by 14 guests
