One in four children experiences some form of bullying while in school. As serious as it is, this heartbreaking problem most often gets less attention than it deserves from the school administration and staff. Parents are left to deal with this social issues on their own.
Aubrey Fontenot, a father of three from Houston, Texas had the same issue when his 8-year old son, Jordan opened up that he was being bullied. Luckily for him, his father knew how to handle bullies.
You'd imagine that he confronted the bully with fits of anger, but Aubrey decided to spend some time with him and have a nice conversation. After a heart-to-heart session with the bully, Tamarion, the boy opened up about his past. Apparently, he has been a victim of bullying for not having clean clothes and being homeless.
Realizing that the boy needed help, Aubrey had a close talk with both boys and later on bought him some clothes. In no time the boys were playing video games. Aubrey posted the story on Twitter and it went viral in no time. The father went ahead to create a Go-Fund-Me campaign for Tamarion that raised $24,210 in 4 days.
