Man Goes Down On One Knee To Propose To A Mother And Her Daughter

Grant Tribett, 29 had been dating his girlfriend Cassandra Reschar, 26, for 7 months before he knew this was the woman he wanted to spend the rest of his life with.

He also knew that marrying Rechar would automatically mean that he would become a father to Rescher's five-year-old daughter Adrianna. However, this is one duty he looked forward to.

“Honestly, it was one of the many qualities she has that captured my heart,” said Tribett in an interview as he referred to Cassandra being a single mom.

Grant wanted to pop the question in the most special way possible. He asked the girls to dress up since he wanted to take them out for breakfast.

Reschar, in an interview, said, “I was kind of taken aback that he took us to Cracker Barrel. He was just acting so strange. I knew something was up.

But I was hoping that he wouldn’t do anything inside the restaurant. It was too crowded, there were too many people.”Lucky for the crowd-shy girl, the three finished their meal and walked around Ritchey Woods Nature Reserve for about a mile until they came to a wooden bridge.

Unknown to the girls, a photographer was hiding not too far from the bridge. Tribett had enlisted the help of their friend Mandi Gilliland who is also a professional photographer to capture the beautiful moment about to ensue.

Just as he dropped on one knee, Gilliland came out of his hiding and snapped the moment. Tribbet asked Reschar if she would marry him and she said yes. However, he was not done yet. He pulled out a jewelry box that had a heart-shaped necklace and asked the 5-year-old, “Adrianna can I be your daddy, to promise to love and protect you for the rest of your life?”

Adrianna was too excited to finally have a father. “She was yelling, I finally get a daddy, mommy! I finally get a daddy!”

Reschar recalled that after he ‘proposed’ to her daughter, she along with the photographer couldn’t resist the tears of joy as they witnessed so much love in such a heartfelt moment.

“As soon as he spoke those sweet words, I once again broke down in tears. Not the cute kind of tears either, the bawling type tears. My little heart could not take so much love!” said Reschar.

“The dream of every mother is for her daughter to grow up happy. She has always wanted a daddy,” she added.

The couple wed in December and little Adrianna was the flower girl. She can't wait to be a big sister as she eagerly waits for a sibling.
