The discrimination that tends to come from appearance is not rare to come by. Even today where human equality is being campaigned and taught across the world, there is always racism against people whether they are majorities or minorities. Luckily, we are living during the time where differences are being embraced tightly and more people are fighting for everyone, especially those who had been oppressed before, to come out and be confident about being themselves.

That is definitely real for Diandra Forrest, who is an African American, but born with pale white skin because she is albino. She doesn't seem like she would fit anywhere and because she was born different, that made her attract unwanted attention more often than not. But today, she is a famous model who is going to make it big soon with her new contract.

Forrest Diandra is an African American born with albino appearance. Because of this difference, whenever she travels in public places with her mother when she was young, she wouldn't understand why people were staring and laughing at her.

She feels very different from time to time, although she was not the only child born with albinism. She has a brother who is born with similar condition. When she was young, she would get questions like whether she was adopted.

Of course, it wasn't easy. She felt discriminated and slight isolated, as if she was the odd one out. While her appearance does is an odd one, she was still a little girl who loved to play.

She really wished that she had friends whom she can trust and talk to. Especially someone who can accept her and be there with her during her adolescence.

But she found her confidence. She finally understood about herself and stopped blaming people for what happened. She found beauty in herself.

Being an albino often mean you are attracting the attention of people and it's not always bad. A lot of people couldn't stop staring because you possess something so unusually beautiful, which is true most of the time.

Now, Diandra hopes that children who are born with the same situation like her wouldn't have to feel all that. She wants them to be confident about who they really are.

You cannot change how you are born. But you can definitely be sure that you are beautiful if you just believe that you are. She also encourages parents to give extra attention and boost the confidence of their kids that perhaps feel left out.
