Nurse, 31, Spent $200,000 On Cosmetic Procedures To Become 'Real-Life Barbie'

Tara Jayne works as a cosmetic nurse and has spent over $200,000 to transform her look into a real-life barbie. The 31-year-old has gone through countless procedures from breast augmentations to tens of injections and fillers. The social media star refers to herself as the "Australia's Limited Edition Barbie Doll".

With how radical the changes on her body are, Jayne was constantly faced with critics and haters.

But for her, they cannot compare to the benefits she feels. She shared with The Morning Show, “Plastic surgery gives me a sense of empowerment.”

“And I think in this day and age, it’s very important for a woman to be able to express the way they feel and just express everything about beauty. Plastic surgery is how I do that. That’s what makes me happy.”

“It gives me the confidence to be the best version of myself, and it’s all about feeling empowered as a woman.”

As most women may not have to spend thousands of dollars for their hobby, it's different for Jayne who visits the doctor multiple times a year just to maintain her look. On top of that, every visit can ring her up to $5000.

“With my body, in particular, I break it down really quickly, so I feel I’m going into the doctor’s once every couple of months.”

“This stuff does not come cheap, so it is quite easy to spend $2000 to $5000 at a time. So it’s a pretty expensive hobby.”

She's not done at all with her body. The woman had also shared her intention of adding her breast implants to 1500cc from 1000cc within the next half a year.

She gets showered with praises on her social media, but at the same time, she also deals with bullying. Yet, the woman is "unapologetically" happy about herself.

The Melbourne woman shared, “I have tunnel vision when it comes to that stuff because I have dealt with bullying and people making derogatory comments my entire life.”

“But I have learned to deal with that. I just focus on what I want to do and I am super happy and that’s all that matters. I use (the bullying) as a driving force to become successful and be the best version I can. It’s just pure irrelevance, to be honest.”

With almost 150k followers on Instagram, she's enjoying the attention right now. She taunted, “The hate is making me more famous.”
