TikTok user @thelittlemilkbar had gone viral since last month because of her informative video. Her real name is Lindsay White, and she's an expecting mother sharing what she learns as she goes through her pregnancy journey. And one of the weirdest things ever was how you could actually leak breastmilk from your armpit! Did this happen to you? Don't worry! Lindsay has the answers for you.
"One day, I was feeding Allie and realized her hair was soaking wet, Then I realized it was coming from my armpit."
She created a four-video series explaining what happened and why it happened. She herself has had multiple experiences with leaking breastmilk from her armpits, and they served as good educational sources for other parents!
"I thought I was just really sweaty, but I noticed this huge lump and thought, 'What is that?' So I squeezed it and, holy s**t, milk squirted out!"
Lindsay decided to head to the doctor to figure if something was wrong, but it turns out...
"Your milk line actually runs all the way up through your armpits."
They can get painful sometimes, so you're suggested to pop those tiny lumps and massage them. The 'milk line' or Tail of Spence does leak and it is normal in breastfeeding mommas. They do extend to over your armpit areas!
And it's also actually healthy to happen!
"My doctor said that leaking milk from your armpits is totally normal and that I was actually super lucky mine leaked because sometimes the milk is unable to leak, and it can cause all kinds of issues, like clogged milk ducts and mastitis."
Being a mother brings you all sorts of unexpected experiences and situations. And sometimes, all you need to know is they are a normal part of your journey towards motherhood!
Lindsay has also done many other informative videos on pregnancy and motherhood, so definitely go check out her channel!
Lindsay also addresses common criticisms and opinions from other mothers and explains why she did what she did.
Such as how she breastfeeds her son, and he's not even over 12 months old here!
