In November 2020, Andrew Monck – an Australian man, flew 1000 miles to live with Rosanna Wilson, having fallen in love and dated for four months online. The duo regularly chatted, and just when activities returned to normalcy, Andrew, 33, flew from Sydney to the UK after he was granted an exemption to leave Australia.

But fast forward to the week before Christmas, Rosanna’s joy turned nightmarish as Andrew decided he was moving back to Sunny Australia. The news left Rosanna devastated and almost resulted in depression. Specifically, the vlogger filmed herself on camera in tears over the heartbreak as she sat mournfully in the man-cave she had set up for Andrew.

In one of the series of clips posted on her TikTok page, Rosanna said: ‘We are soul mates that ended up like cellmates. We were locked in this house. There was the option of doing it long distance again, but the straw had broken the camel’s back. The break-up was Andrew’s decision.’

She added: ‘I was distraught for a good couple of weeks then I thought right. Let’s get on to my YouTube channel and make something positive of it. Andrew left on 16 December, just days before Tier 4 came in for London. It was exactly a month. It wouldn’t have been ideal to be stuck together into the New Year. I would have had to stick him in the man cave and left food out for him.’

Rosanna admitted Andrew became distant – slept on the edge of the bed rather than closer, but eventually still exchanged Christmas gifts on the night their break up. Nonetheless, the vlogger has plans to repurpose Andrew’s man cave into a Tiki bar where she can enjoy cocktails with friends once pandemic restrictions are lifted.

On the other hand, Rosanna claim Andrew has been back in touch to apologize for leaving and requested they remain friends. If you were Rosanna, what would you do, or perhaps what would be your response?
